How do I claim under the Pledge?
Prior to making the claim, the following eligibility requirements must be met:
Using your Copart UK member account, you have successfully completed the purchase of a vehicle sold through the www.copart.co.uk website.
Your Copart UK member account is in good standing (eg we have not had reason to suspend or close your account) at the time your claim is filed and remains in good standing while your claim is being considered.
You filed your claim as soon as reasonably practicable in the circumstances.
You have not filed an unsuccessful Pledge reimbursement claim in the last six (6) months.
The vehicle is still in the mainland United Kingdom.
Before altering, repairing, selling, or transferring the vehicle while your claim was still being processed, you obtained the prior written consent of the General Manager of the Copart UK facility that sold the vehicle.
You are able to provide the General Manager with valid documentation to substantiate all purchase payments and/or estimates for repair related to your claim within ten (10) days of filing your claim.
You return the vehicle to Copart UK in the same condition in which it was sold (except where your claim is that you never received the vehicle, or that the vehicle was seized by police because it was reported as stolen prior to the time you purchased the vehicle).
Claims must be made within the time scales listed in table below and must be directed to the General Manager of the Copart UK facility where the vehicle was located when it was auctioned by Copart UK. Where claims are made against a vehicle purchased through the "buy it now" function, these should be directed to the General Manager of the Copart UK facility where the vehicle was located prior to its sale. You must submit all documentation (receipts, repair estimates, etc) requested by the General Manager that is necessary for your claim to be considered.
